ABOUT
Taxi Run is an innovative 2D Experimental Puzzle game that I had the pleasure of working on as a Game & Level Designer. The game was developed within a challenging 48-hour time frame in 2014 and was specifically designed for the PC platform. Our talented team, consisting of four dedicated members, collaborated to bring this captivating concept to life.
In Taxi Run, players are tasked with maneuvering a taxi through intricate and strategically designed levels. The objective is to guide the taxi from Point A to Point B using carefully placed arrows that dictate its path. The game's unique mechanics and puzzle-solving elements provide players with an engaging and entertaining experience.
Our efforts did not go unnoticed, as Taxi Run earned the distinguished honor of being among the Top 10 Finalists at the prestigious BYOG 2014 (Build Your Own Game) Game Jam during the Nasscom GDC event in Pune. The game received recognition for its creative concept and well-designed levels.
We also had the opportunity to showcase Taxi Run at two noteworthy events, NGDC (Nasscom Game Developer Conference), where it garnered positive feedback and appreciation from fellow developers and gaming enthusiasts.
Taxi Run was primarily developed for tablet devices, making it accessible to a wide range of players across Android, iOS, and Windows platforms. The game's fusion of puzzle-solving and strategic thinking provided an enjoyable and challenging gameplay experience for our audience.
Overall, I take immense pride in my role as the Game & Level Designer for Taxi Run, contributing to its conceptualization, level design, and success in the BYOG 2014 competition. This project served as a testament to our team's creativity, dedication, and passion for crafting engaging gaming experiences.
